KATIE -
Hi! My name is Katie, and I am a Southern California native turned Southern Belle. My husband Nick and I live in Charlotte with our daughter Amelia, the center of our lives. Nick and I met in Provo, Utah where we were both attending school. I graduated from Brigham Young University in Public Health, and worked at the Utah County Health Department before moving to Charlotte to start a dental lab with Nick.
I grew up in a 1960's home my parents own that needed (needs) a lot of love. My growing years included household projects, everything from de-wallpapering, painting, patching, interior design, as well as many exterior projects. My mom's love for having beauty fill her home really instilled in me that same desire. I believe the peace and serenity that can be felt in a well-kept home can't come from any where else. And I believe its all possible with only a little bit of money!
My goal for this blog is to share my projects and ideas and instill the desire to "go and do" when it comes to household rituals and projects that can become blasé, and turn them into something fun and exciting.
My goal for this blog is to share my love of cooking and crafting, and to inspire others to enrich their lives through creativity.
BRIDGET-
Hi there, my name is Bridget. I am blessed to be a stay-at-home
mother to my two sweet little children while my husband works during the day.
My energetic little friends and I have lots of fun during the daylight hours,
and always find opportunities for creative problem solving.
Ever since my childhood, I have loved food. I love trying new
foods, new restaurants, and enjoy creating my own delicacies in my kitchen at
home. To me, the best part of creating a delicious new dish is seeing the
smiles on my family members' faces as they devour every last bite. I believe
the experience in eating is as important as the food itself, and I do my best
to make each dish look beautiful as well as taste amazing.
My other passion in life is crafting. When I was a young girl, I
learned how to sew and crochet, and my love for this hobby has continued
to grow over the years. I was never formally trained in either activity, so
there is still much for me to learn. Every time I complete a project, I feel
I learn something new. I have so much fun making clothes, blankets, and
toys for my children, and seeing their excitement with my personalized handmade
creations is priceless.
My goal for this blog is to share my love of cooking and crafting, and to inspire others to enrich their lives through creativity.
